Reddit GEO: getting cited by AI
Reddit is the single most cited source in generative models. We work your presence there so your brand shows up in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews when a prospect asks about your category.
Your prospects no longer search, they ask
A growing share of searches no longer ends on a results page but on an answer written by a model, which cites a handful of sources and ignores thousands of others. Reddit is the first among them, which gives those conversations reach far beyond their direct audience. Being absent from that corpus now means being absent from the answer.
What we take off your plate
Citation audit
We query the major models on your category's prompts and measure whether your brand is cited, how often, and which competitors appear in your place.
Mapping the threads that matter
Identifying the subreddits and discussions models genuinely draw on for your category, so effort concentrates where it produces citations.
Presence and contributions
Useful, openly branded contributions in the threads that count, within platform norms, so you become a source models judge relevant.
Monitoring and monthly measurement
Tracking citations earned, brand mentions and recurring objections, with a commented summary and the angles to work the following month.
Work that is measured in citations
GEO suffers from the same flaws as SEO in its early days: plenty of promises, little measurement. So we start from a quantified baseline of your citations and re-measure it every month on the same prompts, which makes it possible to say whether the work is producing an effect.
Frequently asked questions
How does GEO differ from classic SEO?
SEO targets a position in a list of links; GEO targets a mention inside a written answer. The levers are not the same: what counts is no longer your own site but the third-party sources the model treats as reliable, chief among them Reddit discussions.
How long until citations appear?
The first baseline is delivered within a week, since it covers what already exists. First citations typically appear after one to three months, the time it takes for content to be indexed and picked up by the models.
Should you reply to the criticism you find?
Not systematically, and that is often the main recommendation in the report. Replying to an obscure thread gives it visibility, while leaving a heavily commented thread containing a factual error unanswered costs you lastingly, including with the models feeding on it.
Does GEO replace brand monitoring?
No, it absorbs it. Conversation tracking remains the raw material: knowing what is said about you is how you determine where your absence costs citations and where speaking up would earn them.
